We are very excited to announce that Lord Aylmer is holding a summer reading competition – LA Reads 2021: Summer Sweepstakes. LA Home and School has generously agreed to donate a substantial amount of money to buy amazing prizes!
There are 2 ways to play. Students can read themselves or they can participate actively in shared reading.
Students will be sent home with: (1) reading recording sheets and (2) instructions on how to play. Copies of these documents can be found below.
For parents/guardians who want to capitalize on their child’s motivation, webinars are available below for tips on: (1) keeping your reader motivated, (2) finding the right books, and (3) supporting reading development.

The Western Québec Virtual Library is a compendium of online resources that support the Québec Education Program. It is full of bilingual, multi-media tools; including books, research databases, encyclopedias, news and more.
Click or tap on the title below an icon to read a short presentation of each resource. Access to these resources is mostly password-free from all Western Québec schools and centres.
