Re: Distribution of Rapid Screening Tests
You may be aware that the provincial government recently announced that all elementary students will be provided with Rapid Screening Tests (self-tests) to bring home to their parents. These tests are to be administered if, and when their children experience symptoms related to COVID-19.
The purpose of this memo is to advise you that once the test kits are received at the school board and ready for distribution, they will be delivered to our schools. Please note that along with the self-test kits, you will receive the following:
- A memo explaining the process, including a link to the Rapid Screening Tests webpage
- A step-by-step guide (from the government of Quebec) outlining the instructions for administering the test, and understanding the result
It is expected that if received on time from the Ministry, the rapid test kits will be distributed to students before the holiday break.
