Dear Parents / Guardians and Students:
I write to you today with mixed emotions. It was officially announced this week, that I have been appointed to the position of Communications Director and Secretary General of the Western Quebec School Board. While I am sad to be leaving the role of principal of our wonderful school and of this school community, I am very happy and excited about the challenges of my new position and of the role I can play for the system.
I will miss Lord Aylmer’s amazing parent involvement and want to extend my sincere appreciation to the many volunteers, governing board members and Home and School team. You have been incredible allies in providing a quality educational experience to our students.
The dedicated, highly talented staff at our school have been an inspiration to me every day. They have worked tirelessly, daily, to ensure a safe, caring, inclusive environment with high standards of academic excellence for your children.
To my students, I am very sad to be leaving you as well. I know I will continue to hear great things about you from the staff and administration at the school as well as those in high school as you move through our educational system. I will miss you very much! Vous me manquerez beaucoup!
I will be starting in my new position next week at the board office but will help with the transition of a new principal. The school board has posted the position of principal at Lord Aylmer and will make an announcement once the selection has taken place. My replacement will inherit a wonderful school.
Thank you all so much for the continued support throughout my seven years at Lord Aylmer. I will continue to wear my white, gray and blue as well as our beloved Lord Aylmer Lynx with great pride!
Respectfully,
Eldon Keon, Principal
