    Newsletter #3 – November 2022

I want to thank you for your continued support of the school’s events and activities.  Many have volunteered for school trips to Lake McGlashen, to the Potager Eardley, as guest speakers in classes and for events like the Terry Fox Run.  Just this past weekend, many of our wonderful Home and School volunteers organized a very successful Halloween dance.  Thanks to all for your dedication to the children and the school, on behalf of the Lord Aylmer School community.

Please see below, important information that may be of interest in the upcoming month.  Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions, concerns or suggestions regarding the school.

    -E. Keon, Principal

    REMEMBRANCE DAY

Lord Aylmer will be having a virtual Remembrance Day assembly on November 11th.  We would like to encourage the students to wear red and to wear a Poppy to show support for the Armed Forces. To honour veterans, we will have different activities during our Veteran’s Week which your child’s teacher will share with you.

    SPORTS TOURNAMENTS

Western Quebec sports tournaments are back!  Lord Aylmer fielded two teams at the soccer tournament in Quyon on October 12th and had a great day of sport and team spirit.  Our school is hosting the touch football tournament on Thursday, November 3rd fielding two strong teams of boys and girls.

    Good luck Lord Aylmer!

    TERRY FOX UPDATE

After all the donations were counted, we are pleased to announce the total of funds raised was $10 316.45.  Thank you to all of our students, parents/guardians and staff members who made this possible.
