Dear Parent(s) and Guardian(s),
The purpose of this letter is to remind you of our Kindergarten Schedule. As part of the
preschool program that recently went through a reform; outdoor, inquiry play became an
integral piece of a preschooler’s day-to-day life at school.
As a friendly reminder, our preschool students have a daily 60-minute outdoor inquiry play
period (rain, snow, shine, cold, warm- anything goes within reason). Therefore, it is
important for our students to come adequately prepared for any type of weather. Our
Winter cut off for outdoor play for four and five-year-old kindergarten is -20 with the Wind
Chill.
As we enter the cooler months, we ask that you please send your child to school prepared
for outdoor play. This may include:
- Coat
- Splash pants
- Rubber boots
- Snow Pants
- Mitts- preferably waterproof in the winter months
- Hat
- Neck warmer
- Boots
- Extra Socks
- Extra Mitts
** For safety reasons, umbrellas cannot be permitted outdoors during play periods.**
**Help us, help you! Please label your child’s belongings.
