Good morning parents, guardians, and adult and vocational education students,
The Western Quebec Teacher Association has advised us that a legal strike action will occur on Tuesday, April 27th, beginning at 2:45 pm.
• While all WQSB schools in the Outaouais region will continue with previously scheduled online learning, the school day will end for them at 2:44 pm
• WQSB schools and centres in Region 08 (listed below) will end their respective school days earlier than normal, and transportation will be rescheduled accordingly
- G. Théberge School: the school day will end in mid-afternoon; buses will begin to transport students home at 2:20 pm
- Golden Valley School: the school day will end at noon; buses will begin to transport students home at 11:20 am
- Noranda School: the school day will end at lunch time; buses will begin to transport students home at 12:00 pm
- Please note that daycare services at G. Théberge School, Golden Valley School, and Noranda School will be open in the am but closed in the pm
- Anishnabe Adult Education Centre: classes will end at 2:30 pm
- Western Quebec Continuing Education Centre in Val d’Or: classes will end at 2:30 pm
