Good Morning L.A. Community,
We hope this email finds you well. The weather is on our side today and we are eagerly awaiting meeting our L.A. families at tonight’s BBQ! Ms. Patrick and I will be grilling on the BBQ from 4:00pm – 5:30pm. Otherwise we will be floating around and mingling with the crowd.
We have a short but important update for you today, please see below.
Welcome Back BBQ
- A reminder that our BBQ will be running from 3:00pm – 6:00pm.
- We are using a ticket system that can be purchased with cash only. There will be multiple ticket tables available for purchasing.
- Tickets are $1.00 each. Each item available will cost a certain number of tickets –
- Pop = 1 ticket
- Chips = 1 ticket
- Hotdog = 2 tickets (hotdogs available are veggie, chicken and halal).
- COMBO – pop, chip & two hotdogs for $5.00
- Bouncy Castles are free
- How to meet Staff – all staff will be wearing nametags for easy identification.
- Our staff will be working the varying stations and are available for a meet & greet.
- All teaching staff will be introduced during the AGM at 6:00pm held in the gymnasium.
- There will be no formal Meet the Teacher this year, our BBQ and community event is our way of introducing the 23-24 school staff.
Sexuality Education
- Please see the attached letter detailing the Sexuality Education Curriculum for the 2023-2024 school year.
- A reminder, this is a Ministry of Education mandate for the province of Quebec.
- If you would like to proceed with a formal exemption request for the 2023-2024 school year, please send both myself and Ms. Patrick an email to set up a meeting.
Standards and Procedures
- Your child’s homeroom teacher will be sending by the end of day tomorrow their Standards and Procedures Document.
- This document details the curriculum and assessment overview for the 2023-2024 school year.
