Preschool Report Cards
- For all families of preschool students (four and five-year-old Kindergarten), please note that the Ministry of Education just released a new report card just in time for Term 1.
- Our teaching staff has been a part of training sessions and the report card was just finalized yesterday.
- Therefore, please expect a new format for the Term 1 Report Card, as well as limited comments. This is strictly due to the timing of the rollout of the new report card.
- Therefore, signing up for your child’s Family-Teacher meeting is highly recommended to understand your child’s progress.
- We sincerely appreciate your understanding, and the Preschool Team looks forward to meeting with you.
Remembrance Day & National Indigenous Veterans Day
- Please find attached a memo detailing the events of next week where the L.A. Community will honor those who have served and those who are currently serving.
Family Teacher Meetings
- Please find attached a memo detailing our process for upcoming Family-Teacher meetings.
- Please note a slight change – you will receive communication from your child’s homeroom teacher by November 15, 2023 with regards to process and sign-up.
Photo Retakes
- We sincerely apologize for the miscommunication regarding Photo Retakes. We had been given the flyer previously sent by Photomania regarding the process for retakes.
- Please note that this process is incorrect. Photo retakes will be taking place at the school, date TBD.
- Once a date has been chosen, we will communicate with the community.
- Please do not try to make a central appointment for retakes.
Home & School Association
- LAST CHANCE for BINGO tickets! Deadline to purchase tickets is Friday November 10. Get yours now at www.lordaylmerhs.ca/bingo-night. Bingo night is on November 15, 6:45pm at the Centre Aydelu.
- Join us for the H&S Christmas Bazaar on Saturday December 2 from 9am-2pm, at the L.A. Sr Campus, for a day of shopping, eating, raffles, visits with Santa, and more! www.lordaylmerhs.ca/xmas-bazaar
- Want to help at the Christmas Bazaar? We are looking for volunteers, donations of chili (meat & veggie) and goodies for our fundraiser bake table. If you can help, email lahsbazaar@gmail.com.
Potential Strike Days (Teachers & Professionals)
- We understand that news is circulating that there are further potential strike days coming up (November 21, 22, 23).
- Please note that there is no further information available currently regarding the potential strike dates.
- As soon as confirmed information is available, we will surely inform our community.
