Hello L.A. Community!

We are reaching out today with a special, early edition of our weekly update to ensure everyone is well-informed heading into next week. Please note that both Ms. Patrick and I will be away from the school starting Thursday, February 5, through Tuesday, February 10 (inclusive). We will both return on February 11, 2026.

While we are away, our campuses will be in excellent hands! We are thrilled to announce our Principal Designates for this period:

Hannah and I look forward to connecting with everyone and responding to all inquiries as soon as we return. In the meantime, should any urgent matters arise that require immediate attention, please feel free to reach out to our respective designates at either campus.

Important Dates & Reminders

As a reminder, there are some schedule changes to keep on your radar for early next week:

• February 9 & 10: Professional Development (PD) Days. There will be no classes for students on these days.
• Daycare Services: For those families who have pre-registered, Daycare will be open and fully operational!
  • Location: Junior Campus
  • Hours: 7:00 am – 5:00 pm

REMINDER – Four and Five-Year-Old Kindergarten Registration

If your child is already registered in four-year-old Kindergarten, you do NOT need to complete this process again.

• When: February 10, 2026
• Location: Lord Aylmer JR Campus (130 Rue Frank Robinson)
• Time: 8:00-12:00 and 1:00-3:00
• After February 10th registrations will be ongoing by appointment only. Contact Karen Comfort at 819-684-4888 or kcomfort@wqsb.qc.ca 
• Required Supporting Documents for Registration:

·         Child’s original long-form birth certificate bearing parents’ names

·         Proof of Canadian Citizenship (Canadian birth certificate, Canadian citizenship certificate, or Canadian passport) of the parent who will render the child eligible

·         Québec driver’s license of the parent/guardian responsible for the child or Lease/House Deed and a utility bill (Hydro Québec or telephone)

REMINDER – Term Two Reporting Schedule & Student-Led Conference

• Term two officially ends on February 11, 2026.
• Term two report cards will be available on the Mozaik portal as of February 19, 2026.
• Save the Date: Student-Led Learning Celebrations
• This term, we are proud to host Student-Led Conferences, where your child takes the lead in sharing their learning journey.
• We are excited to welcome you into our classrooms on February 19 (3:00pm – 7:00pm) and February 20 (8:00am – 2:00pm).
• Please find attached a memo with all necessary details.

News from Home & School

100^th Day of School Celebration

• Lord Aylmer Home and School are pleased to mark the 100^th day of school by offering a pancake breakfast to all students!
• For this special event, students at Junior Campus will join a class at Senior Campus to promote connection between campuses and celebrate together.
• Congratulations to all the students and staff on your accomplishments so far this year! Keep learning and having fun!

Purdys Chocolate Fundraiser

• Treat yourself (and Lord Aylmer students!) with our sweet new fundraiser from Purdys Chocolates, which earns up to 30% on sales for Lord Aylmer Home and School.
• Please see the attached poster for information how to order.
• Orders will be accepted from February 6th until February 28th.
• Order pick-up will be March 26^th – just in time for Easter!

IMPORTANT – Pizza Day

• A friendly reminder that Pizza Day will be on Thursday, February 12^th next week due to the PD Day on Tuesday.

Nous vous contactons aujourd’hui pour une édition spéciale et anticipée de notre infolettre hebdomadaire afin que tout le monde soit bien informé pour la semaine prochaine. Dates importantes et rappels

À titre de rappel, voici quelques changements à l’horaire à surveiller pour le début de la semaine prochaine:

• 9 et 10 février: Journées pédagogiques. Il n’y aura pas de classe pour les élèves ces jours-là.
• Service de garde: Pour les familles déjà inscrites, le service de garde sera ouvert et opérationnel!

RAPPEL — Inscriptions à la maternelle 4 ans et 5 ans

Si votre enfant est déjà inscrit à la maternelle 4 ans, vous n’avez PAS besoin de refaire ce processus.

Documents requis pour l’inscription:

• Certificat de naissance original (grand format) de l’enfant portant le nom des parents.

• Permis de conduire du Québec du parent/tuteur responsable ou bail/acte d’achat accompagné d’une facture de services publics (Hydro-Québec ou téléphone).

RAPPEL – Bulletins du 2e étape et rencontres dirigées par l’élève

• La deuxième étape se termine officiellement le 11 février 2026.
• Les bulletins seront disponibles sur le portail Mozaik à partir du 19 février 2026.
• À noter: Célébrations de l’apprentissage (dirigées par l’élève). Cette étape, nous sommes fiers d’organiser des rencontres où votre enfant prend les devants pour partager son parcours d’apprentissage. Nous serons heureux de vous accueillir dans nos classes le 19 février (15 h 00 à 19 h 00) et le 20 février (8 h 00 à 14 h 00). Un mémo détaillé est joint à ce message.

Nouvelles de l’Association Home & School

• Célébration du 100e jour d’école L’association Lord Aylmer Home and School est heureuse de souligner le 100e jour d’école en offrant un déjeuner de crêpes à tous les élèves! Pour cet événement spécial, les élèves du campus Junior rejoindront une classe du campus Senior afin de favoriser les liens entre nos deux sites. Félicitations à tous les élèves et au personnel!
• Collecte de fonds: Chocolats Purdys Gâtez-vous (et soutenez nos élèves !) avec notre délicieuse collecte de fonds Purdys. Jusqu’à 30 % des ventes sont versés à l’association.

·         Commandes: Du 6 au 28 février.

·         Récupération des commandes: 26 mars (juste à temps pour Pâques !). Voir l’affiche jointe pour les détails.

IMPORTANT — Journée Pizza Un petit rappel: la journée pizza aura lieu le jeudi 12 février la semaine prochaine, en raison de la journée pédagogique du mardi.
