Good Morning L.A. Community,
We hope this email finds you all well after the long weekend. We have finally entered into the summer heat season, albeit a little late. We have a short but important update for you this morning, please see below.
Heat Advisory
- Please see the attached communication from Mr. George Singfield, our Director General, regarding the high temperatures projected this week.
- Please note, we will be keeping a close eye on the rising temperatures. Current practices in place at school – keeping the lights off, fans circulating in the classrooms, limited physical activity and encouraging lots of water consumption.
- Please remember to send your child(ren) with water bottles, we will make sure they are refilled often!

Terry Fox T-Shirt Order & Event
- Our annual Terry Fox walk/run is upon us! L.A.’s date to celebrate and commemorate Terry Fox is September 22, 2023.
- Please see attached an order form for a Terry Fox t-shirt to support the cause!

PD Day
- A reminder to all parent(s)/guardian(s) that September 15, 2023 is a PD Day.
- There are no classes.
- Daycare is open.
- A message from Julie Belisle and Michelle McDonald – your Daycare staff –
- We are in the process of creating a daycare Remind where we will send a link for the pd day registrations starting in October. Until then for our first pd day, we are asking parents/guardians of students registered in daycare(regular and sporadic) to please email Ms. Michelle for junior campus students at: mimacdonald@wqsb.qc.ca and for senior campus students, please email Ms. Julie at jbelisle@wqsb.qc.ca. Important: In your email, please indicate your child’s first and last name and their grade level. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Julie either at jbelisle@wqsb.qc.ca or 819-684-1494.
