Terry Fox Walk/Run
- Our annual Terry Fox walk/run is tomorrow – September 22, 2023
- Please make sure to send your child(ren) with appropriate clothing, footwear, snacks and hydration!
- Our school has surpassed our original goal of $6000.00 in fundraising for cancer research – WAY TO GO L.A. Lynx!
- A HUGE shout out to our local Giant Tiger for donating $500.00 towards our fundraising initiatives.
- Another HUGE shout out to Mr. D and Mr. C – our resident physical education teachers for organizing another great event this year – THANK YOU!
- We can’t wait to show our L.A. pride tomorrow.
Daycare Information –
- Upcoming PD Days – October 12 & 13. There are no classes.
- Daycare will be open & operating October 12, 2023.
- Daycare will be closed October 13, 2023 – please make alternative child care arrangements.
- September invoices are ready and available within the Mozaik Portal.

Welcome Back BBQ
- The Welcome Back BBQ is confirmed and will be September 28th, 2023.
- WHAT – Are you ready to meet your 2023-2024 L.A. Team? Do you like to have fun? Say no more, welcome to our first annual Welcome Back BBQ!
- bouncy castles (free), hotdogs, chips, pop & water.
- WHERE – Lord Aylmer SR Campus, outside
- WHEN – 3:00pm – 6:00pm
Annual General Assembly (AGM)
- Our AGM will take place after the BBQ and will be held on site on September 28th from 6:00pm – 7:00pm.
- The AGM is held to elect the members of our Governing Board for the 2023-2024 school year. **The Governing Board is the governing body of the school which is comprised of parent/guardian representatives and staff representatives. We discuss items such as: budget, fundraisers, school success plans, community events etc.
- We have three positions to fill for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year.

- Additionally, we will also elect a Parent Committee representative from the Governing Board members. This representative will sit on a School Board Committee, which meets approximately 5 times a year. Furthermore, information regarding the SEAC (Special Education Advisory Committee) will be shared. This committee meets approximately 5 times per year – all necessary information can be found in the attached flyer. *The SEAC rep will NOT be nominated at our AGM, rather you must submit your name to the SEAC committee online through the form found on their website*
**If you cannot attend the General Assembly and would like to put your name forth for nomination for the Governing Board or Parent Committee you MUST contact Sam Halpin & Hannah Patrick and share your intent to run for election. You will be required to write a letter stating your intention and the reason why you should be nominated. This letter will be read by at the General Assembly during the appropriate election**

End of Day Changes
- For any and all end of day changes to your child(ren)’s schedule, please contact the front office (Karen Comfort kcomfort@wqsb.qc.ca @ JR Campus and Paula Savescu psavescu@wqsb.qc.ca @ SR Campus) by no later than 1:30pm.
- This will ensure we have appropriate time to inform the classroom teachers and that the end of day change will take affect.
- Of course, we are aware of extenuating circumstances and therefore, if an emergency occurs we will help and support your family in whatever way we can.

- Mazolla lunches are back and will start on September 25, 2023.
